Both the Edinburg Roadrunners (51-33) and the McAllen Thunder (30-54) put runners aboard on Tuesday, but it was the Edinburg Roadrunners that were able to take advantage, pulling out a 3-2 win at Edinburg Baseball Stadium.

The Edinburg Roadrunners would not relinquish the lead as the McAllen Thunder were unable to weather a two-run third inning deficit.

The McAllen Thunder scored on an RBI double by Miguel Alfonzo in the fourth inning and a groundout by Alfonzo in the eighth inning. Still, the McAllen Thunder couldn't catch the Edinburg Roadrunners.

Jose PabloOyervidez got the win, running his season record to 2-0. He allowed one run over six innings. He struck out two, walked six and surrendered six hits.

Brian Murphy couldn't get it done on the hill for the McAllen Thunder, taking a loss. He lasted just seven innings, walked three, struck out five, and allowed three runs.
