The Edinburg Roadrunners (41-28) jumped out to an early lead, but were unable to hold on and lost 5-4 to the Fort Worth Cats (38-31) on Sunday.

An RBI single by Chad Gabriel gave the Fort Worth Cats the lead in the sixth inning.

Jose Ruiz put himself in scoring position with two extra-base hits for the Fort Worth Cats. He homered in the sixth inning and doubled in the eighth inning.

Felix Molina racked up two RBIs on two hits for the Edinburg Roadrunners. He homered in the first inning and singled in the third inning.

Steve Barnes recorded his fifth win of the year for the Fort Worth Cats. He allowed four runs over six innings. Barnes struck out three, walked two and gave up seven hits.

Ryan Smith was charged with his fourth loss of the year. He lasted just six innings, walked none, struck out six, and allowed five runs.
