Demetrius Banks hopes every outing could go as well as Wednesday, as Banks tossed a shutout to carry the McAllen Thunder (13-27) to a 10-0 victory over the Edinburg Roadrunners at Edinburg Stadium.

The McAllen Thunder's Banks kept the Edinburg Roadrunners (25-15) off the scoreboard for all nine innings he was on the hill. He pitched a shutout, allowing no runs on two hits while striking out five.

The McAllen Thunder blew out the Edinburg Roadrunners thanks to eight hits, including zero extra base hits. The McAllen Thunder scored four runs in the third on a two-run double by Miguel Alfonzo, a groundout by Brian Nichols, and an error.

Alfonzo racked up five RBIs on two hits for the McAllen Thunder.

Matison Smith was charged with his third loss of the year. He allowed eight runs in 5 2/3 innings, walked five and struck out two.
