Battle's single gives the Edinburg Roadrunners walk-off win over the McAllen Thunder, 4-3

A walk-off single from Tim Battle brought home the winning run for the Edinburg Roadrunners (16-12) in a 4-3 victory over the McAllen Thunder (8-20) at Edinburg Stadium on Thursday.

Battle was solid at the plate for the Edinburg Roadrunners. Battle went 1-4 and drove in one. He singled in the ninth inning.

Vincent Blue did his best to jumpstart the offense for the Edinburg Roadrunners, reaching base three times. He scored one run and had one RBI. He singled in the third and sixth innings.

Matison Smith handled the McAllen Thunder's lineup with ease, racking up six strikeouts. Smith allowed three earned runs on six hits and three walks over seven innings.

Osvaldo Rodriguez recorded his first win of the year for the Edinburg Roadrunners. Rodriguez struck out three, walked none and gave up two hits.

Frank James (2-2) took the loss for the McAllen Thunder. He lasted just eight innings, walked two, struck out four, and allowed four runs.
