The San Angelo Colts seize victory thanks to late wild pitch, drop the Abilene Prairie Dogs 5-4

The San Angelo Colts (21-17) and the Abilene Prairie Dogs (15-23) exchanged the lead eight times on Tuesday, but the San Angelo Colts ended up on top with a 5-4 win in 12 innings over the Abilene Prairie Dogs.

The San Angelo Colts took the lead in the twelfth inning and held on for the victory. A wild pitch scored Daryl Jones to give the San Angelo Colts the lead for good.

Jason Crosland was hot from the plate for the San Angelo Colts. Crosland went 3-5, drove in one and scored one run. He singled in the third and fifth innings and doubled in the seventh inning.

The Abilene Prairie Dogs had no answer for Russell Johns, who kept runners off the basepaths in his appearance. The Abilene Prairie Dogs managed just one hit off of Johns, who allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out three during his two innings of work.

Jeremy Tietze was charged with his second loss of the year. He lasted just three innings, walked two, struck out one, and allowed one run.
