The San Angelo Colts hang on against the Abilene Prairie Dogs, 6-4

The Abilene Prairie Dogs (32-50) weren't able to overcome the big hole they dug themselves into against the San Angelo Colts (43-41), and the Abilene Prairie Dogs lost 6-4 to the San Angelo Colts after falling behind by four runs in the sixth inning.

The Abilene Prairie Dogs scored on an RBI single by Joe Weik and a two-run single by Zach Welch in the seventh inning and an RBI single by Weik in the eighth inning. Still, the Abilene Prairie Dogs couldn't draw even.

Ronnie Gaines got on base four times in the game for the San Angelo Colts. He singled in the first and fourth innings and doubled in the eighth inning.

Weik racked up two RBIs on two hits for the Abilene Prairie Dogs.

Jose Sanchez improved to 1-3 on the year by picking up the win for the San Angelo Colts. He allowed three runs over six innings. Sanchez struck out none, walked one and gave up six hits.

Braden Tullis ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his fourth loss of the year. He lasted just 5 2/3 innings, walked two, struck out five, and allowed four runs.
