The Abilene Prairie Dogs (19-29) and the San Angelo Colts (23-26) exchanged the lead six times on Thursday, but the Abilene Prairie Dogs ended up on top with a 9-7 win over the San Angelo Colts.

The Abilene Prairie Dogs staved off the San Angelo Colts as the San Angelo Colts were unable to match the Abilene Prairie Dogs down the stretch.

The San Angelo Colts scored one run in the ninth on a fielder's choice. Still, the San Angelo Colts couldn't draw even.

Kyle Nichols racked up four RBIs on four hits for the Abilene Prairie Dogs. He doubled in the third inning, singled in the second and seventh innings, and homered in the ninth inning.

Braden Tullis got the win, running his season record to 2-3. He allowed one run over 3 1/3 innings. He struck out three, walked three and surrendered two hits.

Brian Henschel (3-5) took the loss for the San Angelo Colts. He allowed seven runs in 6 2/3 innings, walked one and struck out two.
