The San Angelo Colts (44-41) took down the McAllen Thunder (30-55) 10-4 on Friday at Foster Field after slamming the McAllen Thunder with six runs in the sixth inning.

The game was back-and-forth heading into the sixth, with five lead changes.

Josh Banda put himself in scoring position with two extra-base hits for the San Angelo Colts. He doubled in the fifth inning and homered in the sixth inning.

David Phillips got the win, running his season record to 1-2. He struck out three, walked none and surrendered one hit.

Rex Garner ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his first loss of the year. He allowed six runs in one inning, walked none and struck out one.
