The Goodfellas Gatto (13-7) shut the door early on the Marinelli Jewelers (6-17), capturing an 18-7 victory on Monday at Bellport Field #1.

Nine runs in the first three innings allowed the Goodfellas Gatto to put the game away early.

A single by Tom Flynn, an RBI single by Chris Heinkele, an RBI single by Mike Handwerker, an RBI single by Pat Adams, an RBI single by Rich Gatto, an RBI single by Anthony Mitrani, and a three-run triple by Chris Kaufman in the second inning fueled the Goodfellas Gatto's offense early.

Mitrani racked up four RBIs on three hits for the Goodfellas Gatto.

Anthony Piccinini had a busy day at the plate, collecting two extra-base hits. He tripled in the fourth inning and doubled in the sixth inning.

Juan Rodriguez got his eighth win for the Goodfellas Gatto despite allowing seven runs over seven innings. Rodriguez struck out none, walked none and gave up 15 hits.

Rob Speaker ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his third loss of the year. He allowed 18 runs in seven innings, walked two and struck out none.

The Goodfellas Gatto pounded the Marinelli Jewelers pitching, as nine hitters combined for 19 hits, 19 RBIs and 16 runs scored.
