The Snipers (8-14) failed to take advantage of Jesse O_apos;Keefe's effort at the plate on Sunday, losing 20-14 to the Ball Busters (16-6) in seven innings at 12 Pines.

O_apos;Keefe rocked the Ball Busters with two home runs. O_apos;Keefe went 4-4 in the game with four RBIs and two runs scored. O_apos;Keefe homered in the first and fourth innings.

Each team blasted the other's pitching, and there were 34 total runs and 49 hits during the game.

Ten runs in the opening three innings allowed the Ball Busters to easily put away the Snipers. A two-run home run by Tom Bell, an RBI single by Mike Verdi, an RBI double by Val Horvath, an RBI single by Brian Hough, a two-run triple by Frank Montelione, and an RBI single by Anthony Avelli during the second inning supplied the early offense for the Ball Busters.

Avelli racked up five RBIs on five hits for the Ball Busters.

Lee Schoarschmidt recorded his fourth win for the Ball Busters even though he allowed 14 runs over seven innings. Schoarschmidt struck out none, walked three and gave up 23 hits.

Steve R. (0-2) took the loss for the Snipers. He allowed 20 runs in seven innings, walked three and struck out none.

The Ball Busters hammered the Snipers pitching as seven hitters had a field day, combining for 22 hits, 19 RBIs and 19 runs scored.
