A six-run seventh inning sealed a 15-7 win for the Gaza Strip Club (15-5) over the Easton Fection (9-13) on Monday at East Islip Marina.
The game was back-and-forth heading into the sixth, with seven lead changes.
Stan Balsky boosted his batting average thanks to a perfect 5-5 day at the plate to pace the Gaza Strip Club. He singled in the third, fourth, and sixth innings and doubled in the first and seventh innings.
Bobb Palmer reached base three times in the game for the Easton Fection. He also drove in one runner. He singled in the second inning and tripled in the seventh inning.
Anthony Alonzo recorded his fifth win for the Gaza Strip Club even though he allowed seven runs over seven innings. He struck out one, walked one and surrendered 15 hits.
Derek Gremaux (2-6) took the loss for the Easton Fection. He allowed 15 runs in seven innings, walked one and struck out none.
The Gaza Strip Club hammered the Easton Fection pitching as seven hitters had a field day, combining for 22 hits, 10 RBIs and 13 runs scored.
