Fans were treated to a high-scoring affair Monday as the core chiropractic (16-4) outscored the Hairstyles Inc (8-13) 17-8 in seven innings.

The two teams combined for 40 hits in the game.

The core chiropractic blew out the Hairstyles Inc thanks to 26 hits, including zero extra base hits. The core chiropractic scored five runs in the seventh on a solo home run by Anthony Tavella, an RBI single by Dan Heskin, a sacrifice fly by Dennis Antici, an RBI double by Chris F., and an RBI single by James Broderson.

Tavella boosted his batting average thanks to a perfect 3-3 day at the plate to pace the core chiropractic.

Mike Sperling was hot from the plate for the Hairstyles Inc. Sperling went 2-4, drove in one and scored two runs. He tripled in the first inning and singled in the seventh inning.

Kevin Spence got his fifth win for the core chiropractic despite allowing eight runs over seven innings. He struck out one, walked three and surrendered 14 hits.

John Ryan couldn't get it done on the bump for the Hairstyles Inc, taking a loss. He allowed 17 runs in seven innings, walked one and struck out one.

The core chiropractic pounded the Hairstyles Inc pitching, as eight hitters combined for 21 hits, 15 RBIs and 15 runs scored.
