The village idiots (18-4) shut the door early on the Ken Griffey Jrs Slugfest (9-11), capturing a 16-1 victory on Monday at Dowling College.

With 11 runs in the first three innings, the village idiots left no doubt about the eventual outcome.

An RBI single by Erik Killian, a three-run home run by B. Garafab, and a solo home run by A. Cruger during the first inning and a two-run home run by Geno passola and a two-run home run by Killian in the second inning fueled the village idiots' offense early.
