The Sleestacks (13-5) beat the Cougar Bait (4-14) 12-4 on Friday thanks to a six-run seventh inning.
Kevin McDowell had a busy day at the plate, collecting three extra-base hits. He tripled in the first inning, doubled in the third inning, and homered in the seventh inning.
Pete Clark had two extra-base hits for the Cougar Bait. He singled in the fifth inning and doubled in the third and seventh innings.
Dave Tellerman improved to 6-2 on the year by picking up the win for the Sleestacks. He allowed four runs over seven innings. Tellerman struck out two, walked none and gave up 15 hits.
Paul Lauten ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his second loss of the year. He allowed 12 runs in seven innings, walked five and struck out none.
The Sleestacks' Mike Kocherkevich, Mike Dacken, McDowell and Billy Feehan combined for eight hits and nine RBIs.
