The THE MACHINE (12-7) jumped out to an early lead on the RAIDERS (4-15) and captured a 13-4 victory on Sunday at Wave Ave.

The game was decided quickly as the THE MACHINE exerted their will early with nine runs in the first three innings.

An error, an RBI single by Shawn Reilly, a three-run home run by Rick Hamberger, and a triple by Mike Lohwassen in the first inning and an RBI single by Sean Kiernan during the second inning helped the THE MACHINE put some runs on the board early.

Hamberger racked up four RBIs on two hits for the THE MACHINE.

Tim Ortiz got the win, running his season record to 5-2. He allowed four runs over seven innings. He struck out one, walked five and surrendered 11 hits.

Don Feldstein was charged with his fifth loss of the year. He allowed 13 runs in seven innings, walked two and struck out none.

The THE MACHINE pounded the RAIDERS pitching, as six hitters combined for 16 hits, eight RBIs and 11 runs scored.
