The Top Shelf (8-7) and the Ken Griffey Jrs Slugfest (6-9) volleyed the lead four times on Monday, but the Top Shelf came out on top for a 8-7 win on Monday at Dowling College.

The Top Shelf finally managed to grab the lead after a strong eighth inning. An error scored Tom Doram and gave the Top Shelf the lead for good.

Eddie Franco racked up four RBIs on three hits for the Top Shelf. He homered in the second inning and singled in the first and fourth innings.

Mike I racked up three RBIs on four hits for the Ken Griffey Jrs Slugfest. He singled in the first, third, sixth, and eighth innings.

Joe Goller recorded his third win for the Top Shelf even though he allowed seven runs over eight innings. Goller struck out none, walked three and gave up 15 hits.

Josh Bente couldn't get it done on the hill for the Ken Griffey Jrs Slugfest, taking a loss. He allowed eight runs in 7 2/3 innings, walked eight and struck out one.
