An exceptional effort by James Mongiori lifted the Scarab Jewelers (9-6) to a 12-11 win in seven innings over the Got Money one (8-5) on Friday at Dowling College.

Mongiori hit two home runs for the Scarab Jewelers. Mongiori went 2-3 in the game with four RBIs and three runs scored. Mongiori homered in the fourth and seventh innings.

The Scarab Jewelers found themselves down in the sixth inning but managed to fight back and claim the win.

James Lydon racked up two RBIs on three hits for the Scarab Jewelers. He singled in the first, sixth, and seventh innings.

The two teams combined for 23 runs and 37 hits, including zero extra base hits.

Even though Andrew Zaglas allowed 11 runs over seven innings he still recorded the victory, his sixth of the season. Zaglas struck out none, walked two and gave up 22 hits.

Chris Zavesky (3-2) took the loss for the Got Money one. He allowed 12 runs in seven innings, walked four and struck out none.
