An awesome effort by Mike McCaffrey lifted the Excel Aire2 (21-1) to a 25-8 win in four innings over the Duffy Wing House (4-12) on Thursday at :Firemens Field In Lindenhurst.
McCaffrey racked up eight RBIs on four hits for the Excel Aire2. He homered in the first and third innings and singled in the fourth inning.
Each team blasted the other's pitching, and there were 33 total runs and 42 hits during the game.
Everything was working at the plate for the the Excel Aire2 in the first. In the inning the Excel Aire2 scored 16 runs.
Anthony Procopio recorded his fourteenth win for the Excel Aire2 even though he allowed eight runs over four innings. Procopio struck out one, walked none and gave up 12 hits.
