The Polar Beers (8-9) didn't stand a chance on Monday, as the Road KIll (16-4) captured a blowout 15-3 win in five innings at East Islip Marina Field #4.
The Road KIll scored seven runs in the third on an RBI double by Greg Echevarra, a two-run triple by Cindy Mcsweeny, an RBI double by Rich Jensen, an RBI single by Tom Schultz, and a two-run double by Adam Jensen.
The game was back-and-forth heading into the third, with four lead changes.
Echevarra had a busy day at the plate, collecting two extra-base hits.
Schultz improved to 4-0 on the year by picking up the win for the Road KIll. He allowed three runs over five innings. Schultz struck out two, walked two and gave up seven hits.
Greg Messina (3-4) was the game's losing pitcher. He allowed 15 runs in four innings, walked two and struck out none.
