The Beer Run (12-6) trailed by 12 in the second, but the Beer Run recovered thanks to a key triple in the fifth inning from Jason Quilty to pull out a 24-22 win in five innings over the Rough Riders (12-4) at Airport #1 on Saturday.
With the Beer Run trailing by one, Quilty came to the plate and tripled, scoring Mike Podstuka, Ryan Strassburger and Mike Romano.
Quilty racked up eight RBIs on five hits for the Beer Run. He singled in the first, third, and fifth innings and tripled in the second and fifth innings.
Each team blasted the other's pitching, and there were 46 total runs and 47 hits during the game.
Rob Cambell racked up four RBIs on two hits for the Rough Riders. He homered in the first inning and singled in the third inning.
The Beer Run easily handled the Rough Riders pitching as six hitters combined for 21 hits, 19 RBIs and 21 runs scored.
