The Rocksteady (21-3) shut the door early on the renegades (goldsborough (7-15), capturing an 18-2 victory on Saturday at Tanglewood.

The game was decided quickly as the Rocksteady exerted their will early with 13 runs in the first three innings.

A single by Tim Reany and a three-run double by Jon Levasseur during the first inning and an RBI single by Kevin Hogan, a three-run triple by L JSimonetti, a single by Damian Werthner, and an RBI single by Levasseur in the second inning helped the Rocksteady put some runs on the board early.

JSimonetti racked up six RBIs on four hits for the Rocksteady.

Matt Powell racked up two RBIs on two hits for the renegades (goldsborough. He singled in the second and fourth innings.

Jay Reany recorded his twelfth win of the year for the Rocksteady. He allowed two runs over four innings. Reany struck out one, walked none and gave up six hits.

Harrold Goldsborough was charged with his eighth loss of the year. He allowed 18 runs in 3 2/3 innings, walked two and struck out none.

The Rocksteady pounded the renegades (goldsborough pitching, as nine hitters combined for 23 hits, 16 RBIs and 16 runs scored.
