The bats were busy at East Islip Marina Field #1 on Friday, and when the dust cleared the Selden Stingrays (3-7) had a 9-8 win over the ISLAND Knights(weeknight (7-3) in eight innings.

The two teams combined for 39 hits in the game.

The game was back-and-forth heading into the eighth, with seven lead changes.

Tom Leavey racked up three RBIs on three hits for the Selden Stingrays. He tripled in the second inning and singled in the first and fourth innings.

Troy Halliday racked up two RBIs on two hits for the ISLAND Knights(weeknight. He singled in the first and third innings.

Mark Zuccaro got his second win for the Selden Stingrays despite allowing eight runs over eight innings. He struck out none, walked five and surrendered 14 hits.

Bryan Knight ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his first loss of the year. He allowed nine runs in eight innings, walked none and struck out one.

The Selden Stingrays easily handled the ISLAND Knights(weeknight pitching as six hitters combined for 18 hits, eight RBIs and five runs scored.
