Patchet leads the The Weekly to 25-11 win over the Predators

Sunday was a great day for Kyle Patchet, as he went 5-5 at the plate to carry the The Weekly (4-4) to a 25-11 victory over the Predators (0-2) in six innings.

Eight of the The Weekly's runs were scored thanks to timely hitting by Patchet. He homered in the second inning, singled in the first and fourth innings, and tripled in the third and fifth innings.

Each team blasted the other's pitching, and there were 36 total runs and 43 hits during the game.

Twelve runs in the opening three innings allowed the The Weekly to easily put away the Predators. An RBI single by Patchet in the first inning and an RBI double by Grant Trapper, an RBI double by Brandon Mazerall, an RBI single by Alex Lea, a two-run home run by Patchet, an RBI triple by Basil Lambiris, an RBI double by Trapper, and an RBI single by Mazerall during the second inning helped the The Weekly put some runs on the board early.

Bobby Sasikumar racked up four RBIs on one hit for the Predators. He homered in the sixth inning.

Even though Zak Bannerman allowed 11 runs over six innings he still recorded the victory, his first of the season. Bannerman struck out one, walked none and gave up 11 hits.

Terri Hatcher ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his first loss of the year. He allowed 25 runs in four innings, walked none and struck out one.

The The Weekly easily handled the Predators pitching as nine hitters combined for 32 hits, 24 RBIs and 25 runs scored.
