A magnificent effort by Austin Ferguson spurred the Ontario (2-0) to a 13-0 win in five innings over the Manitoba (1-1) on Thursday at BBoys Vaughan Grove two.
Ferguson rocked the Manitoba with two home runs. Ferguson went 3-4 in the game with five RBIs and three runs scored. Ferguson homered in the second and third innings.
The offense exploded for the the Ontario in the third. In the inning the Ontario scored seven runs.
Sam Medeiros put together a nice outing. The Manitoba managed just one hit off of Medeiros, who allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out six during his three innings of work.
Matthew Lavoie (1-1) took the loss for the Manitoba. He allowed six runs in one-third of an inning, walked one and struck out one.
