The Thunder Bay Border Cats (31-35) shut the door early on the Duluth Huskies (36-30), capturing a 13-3 victory on Wednesday at Subway Field.

Nine runs in the first three innings allowed the Thunder Bay Border Cats to put the game away early.

An RBI single by Andrew Ayers, a three-run single by Adam Landecker, and a three-run single by Landecker during the second inning fueled the Thunder Bay Border Cats' offense early.

Jerrick Suiter racked up four RBIs on two hits for the Thunder Bay Border Cats. He homered in the third inning and singled in the fifth inning.

Chad Richie looked sharp on the mound. The Duluth Huskies managed just one hit off of the the Thunder Bay Border Cats' pitcher, who allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out seven during his 2 1/3 innings of work.

Joey Webb (3-4) took the loss for the Duluth Huskies. He allowed nine runs in three innings, walked five and struck out three.
