The Waterloo Bucks (33-31) jumped out to an early lead, but were unable to hold on and lost 5-1 to the St. Cloud Rox (26-38) on Monday.
While the Waterloo Bucks led until the fifth inning, the St. Cloud Rox worked their way back and took the lead on a groundout by Mark Rhine.
Nick Rau went a perfect 2-2 at the plate for the St. Cloud Rox. He singled in the fifth and sixth innings.
The St. Cloud Rox got the win thanks in large part to Lucas Long's dominant, seven-strikeout performance. Long allowed one earned run on five hits and one walk over eight innings.
Connor McClain had a busy day at the plate, collecting two extra-base hits. He homered in the third inning and doubled in the seventh inning.
Jordan Foley couldn't get it done on the mound for the Waterloo Bucks, taking a loss. He lasted just five innings, walked five, struck out one, and allowed four runs.
