Four first-inning runs helped the Rochester Honkers (26-38) to a 7-4 win over the Thunder Bay Border Cats (29-35) at Mayo Field on Sunday.
Justin Parr was solid at the plate for the Rochester Honkers. Parr went 3-5 and scored one run. He singled in the first and second innings and doubled in the fourth inning.
Kevin Johnson recorded his second win of the year for the Rochester Honkers. He allowed three runs over five innings. Johnson struck out two, walked one and gave up seven hits.
James Buckelew couldn't get it done on the rubber for the Thunder Bay Border Cats, taking a loss. He allowed seven runs in six innings, walked five and struck out three.
