The Green Bay Bullfrogs fend off the Battle Creek Bombers' late push, hold on 4-3

The Battle Creek Bombers (23-40) weren't able to come back from the big hole they dug themselves into against the Green Bay Bullfrogs (31-32), and the Battle Creek Bombers lost 4-3 to the Green Bay Bullfrogs after falling behind by two runs in the fifth inning.

The Battle Creek Bombers scored one run in the seventh on an RBI double by Conor Costello. Despite their efforts, the Battle Creek Bombers couldn't get over the hump.

David Armendariz went a perfect 3-3 at the plate for the Green Bay Bullfrogs. He singled in the first and second innings and doubled in the fifth inning.

The Battle Creek Bombers had no answer for Robb Woodcock, who kept runners off the basepaths in his appearance. Woodcock held the Battle Creek Bombers hitless over one inning, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out three.

Bryce Bellin improved to 5-2 on the year by picking up the win for the Green Bay Bullfrogs. He allowed two runs over five innings. Bellin struck out eight, walked four and gave up five hits.

Patrick Borlik was charged with his third loss of the year. He lasted just four innings, walked none, struck out three, and allowed two runs.
