The Wisconsin Woodchucks get late runs to finish off the Lakeshore Chinooks, 14-5

The Wisconsin Woodchucks (41-21) used a seven-run explosion in the seventh inning to get past the Lakeshore Chinooks (31-31) 14-5 on Saturday at Athletic Park.

The teams traded runs for most of the contest, leading to five lead changes in the game.

The Wisconsin Woodchucks pulled out the win thanks to a strong fifth inning. A sacrifice fly by Joe Serrano scored Brooks Braga and gave the Wisconsin Woodchucks the lead for good.

Eric Filia- Snyder racked up six RBIs on two hits for the Wisconsin Woodchucks. He singled in the first innings and homered in the seventh inning.

John Roberts got the win, running his season record to 1-0. He allowed one run over 4 2/3 innings. Roberts struck out three, walked one and gave up six hits.

Rex Morrow couldn't get it done on the hill for the Lakeshore Chinooks, taking a loss. He lasted just four innings, walked six, struck out three, and allowed five runs.

The Wisconsin Woodchucks hammered the Lakeshore Chinooks pitching as six hitters had a field day, combining for 10 hits, 10 RBIs and 11 runs scored.
