The Duluth Huskies (34-27) trailed by six in the third, but Taylor Burch was able to capture the lead back with a single in the ninth, spurring the Duluth Huskies to a 10-7 win over the Willmar Stingers (36-25) at Bill Taunton Stadium on Thursday.
With the score tied at seven, Burch came to the plate and singled, plating Wade Wass.
Burch led the Duluth Huskies' offensive threat, as he got on base three times in the game. He scored one run and had one RBI. He singled in the ninth inning.
The Willmar Stingers couldn't slow down James Ramsay, who paced the Duluth Huskies with five hits. He singled in the fourth, fifth, seventh, eighth, and ninth innings.
Forrestt Allday did his best to jumpstart the offense for the Willmar Stingers, reaching base four times. He singled in the first inning and doubled in the fifth inning.
Nathan Garza recorded his second win of the year for the Duluth Huskies. Garza struck out one, walked none and gave up one hit.
Brady Anderson ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his first loss of the year. He lasted just 2 1/3 innings, walked none, struck out two, and allowed three runs.
