The Thunder Bay Border Cats (29-30) and the Mankato MoonDogs (38-21) exchanged the lead five times on Tuesday, but the Thunder Bay Border Cats ended up on top with a 6-5 win over the Mankato MoonDogs.

The Thunder Bay Border Cats held off the Mankato MoonDogs, as the Mankato MoonDogs were unable to overcome a three-run sixth inning deficit.

The Mankato MoonDogs scored on a groundout by David Andriese in the eighth inning and an RBI double by Chase Simpson in the ninth inning. Still, the Mankato MoonDogs couldn't catch the Thunder Bay Border Cats.

Jerrick Suiter was solid at the plate for the Thunder Bay Border Cats. Suiter went 1-4, drove in one and scored one run. He homered in the sixth inning.

Zak Miller got the win, running his season record to 1-0. He allowed three runs over five innings. He struck out three, walked one and surrendered seven hits.
