A walk-off solo home run from Robert Case brought home the winning run for the Alexandria Beetles (24-32) in a 10-9 victory over the Waterloo Bucks (29-27) at Knute Nelson Memorial Park on Saturday.
Case rocked the Waterloo Bucks with two home runs. Case went 3-5 in the game with three RBIs and two runs scored. Case homered in the fourth and ninth innings.
Each team blasted the other's pitching, and there were 19 total runs and 32 hits during the game. Both bullpens were busy with seven pitchers used in the game as the skippers of both squads tried to finish it off.
The Waterloo Bucks' lineup had no answer for Mitchell Babb. The Waterloo Bucks managed just two hits off of Babb, who allowed no earned runs, walked one and struck out six during his 3 2/3 innings of work.
Anthony Bazzani improved to 1-0 on the year by picking up the win for the Alexandria Beetles. Bazzani struck out one, walked none and gave up one hit.
Kellen Camus couldn't get it done on the hill for the Waterloo Bucks, taking a loss. He lasted just one inning, walked none, struck out two, and allowed one run.
