Friday was a great day for Jake Stassi, as Stassi pitched seven shutout innings to carry the La Crosse Loggers (37-17) to a 3-2 victory over the Battle Creek Bombers (19-35) at Copeland Park.
The La Crosse Loggers held off the Battle Creek Bombers, as the Battle Creek Bombers were unable to overcome a three-run seventh inning deficit.
The Battle Creek Bombers scored two runs in the eighth on a two-run double by Colin Willis. Unfortunately, the Battle Creek Bombers weren't able to take the lead back.
Kyle Teague (3-4) was the game's losing pitcher. He lasted just 5 2/3 innings, walked five, struck out four, and allowed two runs.
