Story by Narrative Science.

The La Crosse Loggers (36-17) and the Battle Creek Bombers (19-34) each put runners in scoring position on Thursday, but the La Crosse Loggers capitalized on more RBI opportunities, pulling out a 4-1 win at Copeland Park.

The fact that the La Crosse Loggers grouped all of their runs into the third inning helped them take advantage of their hits.

Matt Chapman racked up four RBIs on one hit for the La Crosse Loggers. He homered in the third inning.

Josh Frye got the win for the La Crosse Loggers thanks to 10 strikeouts. Frye allowed one earned run on three hits and no walks over six innings.
