Nine runs in the first three innings helped the Wisconsin Woodchucks blow out the Eau Claire Express. A two-run double by Joe Serrano in the first inning and an RBI single by Mike Bernal and an RBI single by Bernal during the second inning fueled the Wisconsin Woodchucks' offense early.
Nate Irving racked up two RBIs on three hits for the Wisconsin Woodchucks. He singled in the third and sixth innings and tripled in the ninth inning.
Brett Higginbatham improved to 1-0 on the year by picking up the win for the Wisconsin Woodchucks. He allowed one run over 3 1/3 innings. He struck out three, walked none and surrendered two hits.
