After five lead changes in Saturday's game at Subway Field, the Thunder Bay Border Cats (22-30) finally pulled out a 5-2 win over the Willmar Stingers (30-22).

The Thunder Bay Border Cats pulled out the win thanks to a strong seventh inning. A sacrifice fly by Kyle Lombardo scored James Bonds and gave the Thunder Bay Border Cats the lead for good.

Cory Kay was solid at the plate for the Thunder Bay Border Cats. Kay went 1-4, drove in one and scored one run. He homered in the second inning.

Sean Becker picked up the win for the Thunder Bay Border Cats. Becker pitched eight innings and allowed two earned runs, eight hits and two walks while striking out four.

Corben Green paced the Willmar Stingers at the plate. Green went 1-4, drove in one and scored one run. He homered in the second inning.

Andre Wheeler (3-2) was the game's losing pitcher. He lasted just 1 1/3 innings, walked one, struck out one, and allowed three runs.
