After seven lead changes in Friday's game at Subway Field, the Willmar Stingers (30-21) finally pulled out a 9-7 win over the Thunder Bay Border Cats (21-30).

The Willmar Stingers would not relinquish the lead as the Thunder Bay Border Cats were unable to weather a three-run ninth inning deficit.

The Thunder Bay Border Cats scored one run in the ninth on a fielder's choice. Despite their efforts, the Thunder Bay Border Cats couldn't get over the hump.

Dillon Haupt racked up four RBIs on three hits for the Willmar Stingers. He singled in the sixth inning and doubled in the fourth and ninth innings.

Danny Bethea racked up two RBIs on two hits for the Thunder Bay Border Cats. He homered in the third inning and singled in the fifth inning.

Brady Anderson recorded his third win of the year for the Willmar Stingers. He allowed one run over 1 1/3 innings. He struck out one, walked one and surrendered one hit.

Jordan McCoy ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his first loss of the year. He lasted just one inning, walked none, struck out one, and allowed three runs.
