Matt LaMothe kept the Wisconsin Woodchucks (29-20) off the board during his seven innings of work and the Madison Mallards (26-23) beat the Wisconsin Woodchucks, 10-0.

LaMothe struck out six and allowed no walks and four hits.

Everything was working at the plate for the the Madison Mallards in the third. In the inning the Madison Mallards scored seven runs.

Mike Reuvekamp racked up two RBIs on two hits for the Madison Mallards. He singled in the third inning and homered in the fifth inning.

Brendon Hayden (1-1) was the game's losing pitcher. He allowed seven runs in three innings, walked three and struck out one.

The Madison Mallards pounded the Wisconsin Woodchucks pitching, as six hitters combined for nine hits, eight RBIs and eight runs scored.
