The Eau Claire Express (17-32) blew out the La Crosse Loggers (32-17) 9-1 on Thursday at Copeland Park after pouring on six runs in the third inning.
Casey Gillaspie was solid at the plate for the Eau Claire Express. Gillaspie went 3-5, drove in one and scored two runs. He singled in the first, third, and seventh innings.
Philip Walby put together a nice outing. The La Crosse Loggers managed just three hits off of Walby, who allowed one earned run, walked five and struck out five during his six innings of work.
TJ Kendzora was charged with his first loss of the year. He allowed six runs in 2 2/3 innings, walked one and struck out one.
