The Lakeshore Chinooks (23-24) didn't put up much of a fight on Tuesday, as the La Crosse Loggers (31-16) cruised to a blowout 8-2 win at Copeland Park.
A three-run home run by Richard Prigatano delivered the runs in the seventh. The La Crosse Loggers had two hits in the inning.
The teams traded runs for most of the contest, leading to five lead changes in the game.
The La Crosse Loggers finally managed to grab the lead after a strong sixth inning. An error scored Bobby Juan and gave the La Crosse Loggers the lead for good.
Prigatano racked up four RBIs on one hit for the La Crosse Loggers.
The La Crosse Loggers got the win thanks in large part to Jake Stassi's dominant, six-strikeout performance. Stassi allowed two earned runs on five hits and one walk over seven innings.
Andrew Waszak (3-1) took the loss for the Lakeshore Chinooks. He allowed eight runs in 6 2/3 innings, walked four and struck out three.
