The St. Cloud Rox (15-32) didn't have a chance on Monday, as the Mankato MoonDogs (35-12) won in blowout fashion, 8-2 at Joe Faber Field.
The Mankato MoonDogs scored four runs in the third on a groundout by Nick Ratajczak, an RBI single by Chase Simpson, and a two-run home run by David Andriese.
Andriese put himself in scoring position with three extra-base hits for the Mankato MoonDogs.
The St. Cloud Rox had no answer for Boomer Scarborough, who kept runners off the basepaths in his appearance. Scarborough gave up just three hits, allowed no earned runs, walked three and struck out two during his five innings of work.
