The Eau Claire Express (16-30) continued to pile up the runs on Monday, scoring three runs in the last three innings, en route to an easy 16-2 win over the Battle Creek Bombers (17-29) at Carson Park.

The Eau Claire Express scored five runs in the second on a double by Blake Schmit, a double by Tim Zier, a groundout by Ty Forney, an error, an error, , a two-run single by Alex Real, and a double by Jimmy Allen.

Zier paced the Eau Claire Express at the plate. Zier went 4-6, drove in one and scored three runs.

Conor Costello racked up two RBIs on one hit for the Battle Creek Bombers. He homered in the fourth inning.

Sean Renzi recorded his third win of the year for the Eau Claire Express. He allowed two runs over six innings. He struck out five, walked five and surrendered six hits.

Dan Tyson couldn't get it done on the hill for the Battle Creek Bombers, taking a loss. He allowed nine runs in two innings, walked one and struck out one.
