Jeremy Shay brought home the winning run to give the Battle Creek Bombers (19-29) the lead in the seventh inning, as the Battle Creek Bombers hung on to beat the Green Bay Bullfrogs (27-21) 7-6 on Friday.
After Ethan Bramschreiber singled, Shay came to the plate with the score tied at six in the seventh inning, and singled, plating Bramschreiber.Daniel Rockett went a perfect 4-4 at the plate for the Battle Creek Bombers. He doubled in the sixth inning and singled in the first, fourth, and seventh innings.
Bramschreiber recorded his second win of the year for the Battle Creek Bombers. He struck out one, walked one and surrendered no hits.
Bud Jeter was charged with his fifth loss of the year. He lasted just two-thirds of an inning, walked none, struck out one, and allowed five runs.
