Connor Costello went 0-2, sparking the Battle Creek Bombers (15-24) to a 6-1 victory over the La Crosse Loggers (27-12) on Sunday at Copeland Park.

Cole Swanson struck out six, paving the way for a the Battle Creek Bombers win. Swanson allowed one earned run, four hits and two walks over 5 2/3 innings.

A bright spot for the La Crosse Loggers in the defeat was Zach Wright, who allowed only one run while striking out five.

Jesse Holiday (1-2) was the game's losing pitcher. He lasted just four innings, walked three, struck out six, and allowed three runs.
