Jordan Parr had two extra base hits as the Rochester Honkers (17-21) took home a 7-4 victory over the Willmar Stingers (21-17) at Mayo Field on Saturday.
He homered in the second inning and doubled in the seventh inning.The Willmar Stingers' lineup had no answer for Nick Dolsky. The Willmar Stingers managed just two hits off of Dolsky, who allowed no earned runs, walked one and struck out six during his four innings of work.
Mitch Rowan got on base three times in the game for the Willmar Stingers. He scored one run and had one RBI. He singled in the fifth inning and doubled in the ninth inning.
Jordan Milbrath improved to 2-1 on the year by picking up the win for the Rochester Honkers. He allowed four runs over four innings. He struck out three, walked four and surrendered six hits.
Jerad McCrummen (3-1) took the loss for the Willmar Stingers. He lasted just four innings, walked two, struck out one, and allowed five runs.
Trevor Podratz, Mike Lukkason and Parr helped lead the Rochester Honkers. They combined for six hits and four RBIs.
