The St. Cloud Rox (9-25) beat the Duluth Huskies (19-15) 4-2 on Wednesday at Joe Faber Field behind Boo Vazquez, who had two extra base hits.
He homered in the fifth inning and doubled in the seventh inning.The St. Cloud Rox relied on Zach Hirsch to eat up innings en route to the win. Hirsch pitched eight innings and allowed one earned run, seven hits and no walks while striking out six.
Joey Webb ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his third loss of the year. He lasted just 6 2/3 innings, walked two, struck out four, and allowed four runs.
