Not even a strong hitting and pitching performance from Justin Parr could carry the Rochester Honkers (13-19) past the Thunder Bay Border Cats (15-17) at Subway Field on Sunday as the Rochester Honkers suffered a 7-4 defeat.

Parr had a hot bat for the Rochester Honkers. Parr went 3-5. He singled in the third, seventh, and eighth innings.

Parr shut down the Thunder Bay Border Cats while he was on the mound. The Thunder Bay Border Cats managed just one hit off of Parr, who allowed no earned runs, walked two and struck out two during his one inning of work.

The game was back-and-forth heading into the sixth, with seven lead changes.

Scott Donley racked up three RBIs on three hits for the Thunder Bay Border Cats. He singled in the first inning and doubled in the fifth and sixth innings.

Chad Richie got the win, running his season record to 2-1. He allowed two runs over 2 2/3 innings. He struck out none, walked one and surrendered six hits.

Kevin Johnson couldn't get it done on the rubber for the Rochester Honkers, taking a loss. He lasted just 5 2/3 innings, walked four, struck out four, and allowed five runs.
