The Thunder Bay Border Cats (15-17) and the Rochester Honkers (13-19) each put runners in scoring position on Saturday, but the Thunder Bay Border Cats capitalized on more RBI opportunities, pulling out a 4-2 win at Subway Field.

Phillip Lyons was solid at the plate for the Thunder Bay Border Cats. Lyons went 2-4, drove in one and scored one run. He tripled in the third inning and singled in the fifth inning.

Cole Lankford paced the Rochester Honkers at the plate. Lankford went 2-4, drove in one and scored one run. He homered in the third inning and singled in the ninth inning.

Wes Parsons improved to 5-1 on the year by picking up the win for the Thunder Bay Border Cats. He allowed two runs over 6 2/3 innings. He struck out four, walked one and surrendered nine hits.

Nick Dolsky ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his first loss of the year. He lasted just two innings, walked three, struck out three, and allowed two runs.
