The Eau Claire Express (9-19) blew out the Battle Creek Bombers (12-16) 11-4 on Wednesday at Carson Park after pouring on six runs in the fifth inning.

The game was back-and-forth heading into the fifth, with five lead changes.

Casey Gillaspie racked up two RBIs on two hits for the Eau Claire Express. He homered in the eighth inning.

The Eau Claire Express relied on Devin Moore to eat up innings en route to the win. Moore pitched eight innings and allowed four earned runs, six hits and two walks while striking out five.

Brian Valente was charged with his third loss of the year. He allowed six runs in four innings, walked three and struck out three.
