The Eau Claire Express (8-19) were unable to fight back from the big hole they dug themselves into against the Battle Creek Bombers (12-15), and the Eau Claire Express lost 4-3 to the Battle Creek Bombers after falling behind by four runs in the third inning.

The Eau Claire Express scored on an RBI single by Ryan Shober, an RBI single by Tim Zier, and an RBI single by Zier in the third inning and an RBI single by Nick Addison in the fourth inning. Unfortunately, the Eau Claire Express weren't able to take the lead back.

Chris Sujka racked up two RBIs on one hit for the Battle Creek Bombers. He homered in the third inning.

Ethan Bramschreiber brought the heat against the Eau Claire Express during his outing. Bramschreiber held the Eau Claire Express hitless over 1 1/3 innings, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out three.

Dan Tyson improved to 1-1 on the year by picking up the win for the Battle Creek Bombers. He allowed three runs over 5 2/3 innings. He struck out five, walked none and surrendered six hits.

Sean Renzi ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his second loss of the year. He lasted just six innings, walked one, struck out eight, and allowed four runs.
